A memorable walk through wheat fields, vineyards, and medieval villages across the wine heartlands of northern Spain
DOWNLOAD FULL PROGRAMThe walk
This journey unfolds along one of the most celebrated sections of the Camino Francés, beginning in Pamplona and ending in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, at the heart of northern Spain’s pilgrimage tradition. Along the way, we walk through Navarra and La Rioja, two renowned wine regions where landscape, history, and gastronomy are deeply intertwined. The route is a tapestry of medieval villages, Romanesque bridges, remnants of ancient Roman roads, and wide-open landscapes shaped by vineyards, wheat fields, and rolling hills. We pass through some of the Camino’s most iconic stages, from the panoramic views of the Alto del Perdón to the historic towns of Estella, Viana, Nájera, and beyond. Two vibrant cities anchor the journey: Pamplona and Logroño, both rich in art, history, and legendary tapas culture. Here, walking gives way—at times—to exploration, lingering meals, and a deeper immersion in local life. With a few shorter walking days, we make space to enjoy the region’s winemaking heritage, including three curated wine tastings, allowing body and senses alike to savor the rhythm of the Camino.
A typical day
We start walking at around 8:30 am, after breakfast, group stretch & daily orientation. The walk leaves space for each person to find their own rhythm, weaving together social moments and introspection. Weather permitting, lunch will normally be a gourmet picnic, in some quiet natural space along the way. We end our daily walk between 4 and 6 pm. Before dinner together, there is time for reflection, connection, rest, exploring the surroundings, or enjoying a glass of wine. Every evening a culinary adventure awaits us to discover the cuisine and local products of the best restaurants that we will find along the way.
